Photo Shoot for Dillon's 3 Yr. Birthday

Dillon's 3rd birthday is coming up (July 9), so we had a friend of a friend come out to the house to do a photo session - mainly for D, but also to capture some of Owen at almost 18 months, as well as us as a family. I would love to post them all up here, but it would take up too much room. Here are several shots to give you a preview:

Dillon's New Bunk Bed is Here!

We finally were able to finish Dillon's new bed transition (almost). Those Amish people make really nice furniture, but you sure have to wait a long time for it! It's really nice, and we're very happy with it (although I'm pretty sure Dillon was more excited!). He can't decide whether he'd rather sleep in the top or the bottom - for tonight, it's the bottom... (There's one way to get a kid excited about going to bed!)

Dear Daddy,

Thank you for everything that you do for us kids. Thanks for letting us jump on your stomach while you're trying to lay down. Thank you for letting us play with your tools. Thank you for holding me and rocking with me at 1:30AM so that I can forget that my new teeth hurt so much. Thank you for letting us ride in the front seat (and honk the horn) as you pull in the driveway. Thank you for taking me to Waffle House on Saturday mornings. Thank you for taking me to Dairy Queen at Grammy's. Thank you for reading to me every night. Thank you for teaching me what different animals say (especially the cow!). Thank you for teaching us how to pray at night. Thank you for letting me go to the hair salon with you. Thank you for corn on the cob! Thank you for answering me every time I ask, "WHY?" Thank you for sharing your drinks with me. Thanks for working so hard so that we can have everything we need (and more). Thank you for taking care of me when I get sick. Thanks for putting us back in line when we forget what the rules are. Thank you for cleaning up my mess every night. Most of all, thanks for loving us so unconditionally. We love you...

The weather went from 60s and rainy non-stop to mid-high 80s. So much for spring! Summer is here and we are looking forward to our vacation in a few weeks! It will be Owen's first trip to the beach, and Dillon's 3rd - should be fun!
