What a Year!!!

As 2010 draws to a close, a little shut-eye is in order - we were busy this year!!!

Joe took the picture below while Dillon and Owen were napping one day - he was jealous because everyone, even the cat and dog, were sleeping - except for him!I wasted no time in snapping this photo the following day, however: The big boys are not fond of naps much anymore, but they do love to play, and have come such a long way with each other, especially since JT's arrival. They are truly best friends now and can't stand to be away from each other, even when they're fighting! Looking forward to seeing what 2011 brings!

Go Blue Jackets!

Tonight the boys were treated to their very first professional hockey game! Daddy and Uncle Andy took them, and they all had a blast.Something tells me the little boys didn't appreciate this photo-op as much as the big boys did...

More Christmas Celebrations

The day after Christmas, we celebrated at the Gilkersons. The boys received Rip Rider bikes from Grammy and Poppy - can't wait until Spring when we can get out and ride them for real!!!

Christmas Morning

The boys awoke around 7AM and were very excited to go downstairs to see what Santa left for them, but they were very patient to pose for a picture first!Hooray! Star Wars light sabers (or lasers as they call them)! Now we can REALLY fight!
Our Christmas morning was very enjoyable. Daddy had a warm fire going, coffee brewing, nice music playing, and the boys were well-behaved. How lucky and blessed we really are. God is good!

Boys Will Be Boys

Our fourth day at home and baby JT is fitting in just great... Even the 94lb dog seems to enjoy the company - and looks SO huge compared to the 7-1/2 lb. baby he's laying next to!The big boys quickly tire of the boring baby and move on to better things. Today they are P-51Mustang pilots. They take turns being the gunner and the pilot..

Welcome, John Thomas!

On Monday, December 13, 2010, at 12:09PM, little JT joined our family. He weighed 7lbs 12 oz and was 19-1/2" long. What a blessing to our family to have another healthy, beautiful little boy. Our house is going to be pure chaos in a few more years!

December 11 - Baby 3's Due Date!

The Countdown Begins

December 11. That was supposed to be the day that our little bundle made his appearance - so we made sure to keep busy to keep our minds off of it!

We ventured to Build-A-Bear Workshop on the 4th where the boys each were able to make their own bear, to give to their baby brother when they came to meet him in the hospital. Dillon made a black bear, with a fireman suit, and Owen made a (surprise!) camo bear. Here they are showing them off, and Cooper wanted in the picture, too - he really did just pose himself behind the boys..

On December 9, Owen's 3-year-old preschool class had their annual Christmas Cantata. There are actually four classes up there, but they are all 3-year-olds. Owen is in a green sweater on the far right, bottom row..

When they were finished, they each were rewarded with a lolipop for all of their hard work - they had been practicing since October!
And on the 10th, we made Christmas cookies. Yummm!!!Okay, little guy, we are now ready for you!

Thanksgiving Day 2010

We spent a nice relaxing Thanksgiving Day at the Gilkersons house. Well, mostly relaxing! My big belly and I did more relaxing than the boys did! (The dogs were worn out by the time we left, too!)

Halloween 2010

It wouldn't be an October blog post without mentioning Halloween! This year, Owen was gung-ho about being a soldier. He loves anything camouflage, and the soldier seemed a perfect fit. We were able to find him a darling uniform at a military store in Columbus, and I ordered patches, complete with his name, from the internet. He couldn't have been more thrilled with it!When Dillon said he wanted to be a vampire, I was thinking in my head, "$15 from WalMart - DONE!". It was easy, cute, and everyone was happy!
They had a great time running around the neighborhood collecting candy and as any typical child, couldn't wait to eat it all! Dillon didn't eat his dinner that night, so my deal with him was that he only got to pick ONE piece of candy. Owen was able to pick three because he did finish his dinner. Dillon seemed fine with that and pushed his dinner away from him. Fast forward to the end of trick-or-treat... We were all sitting around a fire at the Bautsch's, and the kids were selectively choosing what to gobble down. Dillon picks out a FULL SIZE Hershey Dark bar (some people in this neighborhood work for Nestle's and give out full-size candy bars) and says, "You said I could have one! This is the one I want!" Who could argue with that? Next year I'll be sure to be more specific...
