We all scream for ICE CREAM!!! We had a wonderful Mother's Day visit to Grammy and Poppy's house today, and topped it off with a nice walk to Dairy Queen! Dillon really wanted blue ice cream, but when he asked the girl behind the counter, she told him they didn't have any. He settled for a swirl cone and was perfectly content.

Owen just about jumped out of the stroller when he saw Poppy's vanilla cone - he made sure to let him know he wanted some, too!!!

On our walk back, Dillon was still working on his cone (making a complete mess, of course!), and I told him he could eat the cone. I tried to explain that he could get to the ice cream easier if he starting eating the cone. He looked very puzzled and said, "Mommy, what's a cone?" Funny the little things we don't realize... I told him the yellow thing he was holding was the cone, and he could eat it. Once he figured that out, he was chowing down on it in no time! I asked him at one point, "Dillon, do you want to ride on my shoulders so you can finish your cone?" He replied, "No thanks, Mom, I'm okay - I'm just walkin'" That kid just makes me chuckle sometimes with his comments.
