Wildlife on Boerger Rd.

The past couple weeks have been fun to watch out our windows! Last week, we saw Bambi and her friend in our backyard, early in the morning...

And then this morning, we spotted this extremely large, probably very old, creature creeping across our front yard, heading for the creek!!!

It turns out it is a snapping turtle, which are generally mean animals when out of the water. Did you know their head can actually reach back to their tail? Thank goodness he didn't decide that the boys were looking a little too close - it could have been a very bad morning!
