Uncle Andy struck gold when he found these really cute fishing poles for the boys. Dillon got his "Lightning da Queen" fishing pole and tackle box for his birthday gift. Owen got a Spiderman pole and tackle box for Dillon's birthday, too. (It was only fair, right?) The first thing Dillon did after getting up this morning was head to the back door, and he told me, "Mommy, I want to go fishing now!" Luckily he held out until after dinner tonight and we headed over to Green Pastures to the Treehouse Park, where there is a pond stocked with about a gazillion bluegill, waiting for some bait...
The kids put their poles in the water and **PRESTO** - there was a fish on the hook! Owen caught a couple and was all done, ready to go play on the playground...
Dillon, on the other hand, had a ball. He was getting very good at casting the line pretty far, and would reel it in about as fast as he could. I'm convinced he hooked half his fish because they got in the way of the hook as he was reeling it in! We let him catch 14 (his favorite number) before we called it a night. Andy - he can't wait to go out with you so he can catch big fish!!! Thank you for the great gift - it's a winner!

How cute is that. Wow, 14 fish!
As usual Uncle Andy did it again, I love to see the boys doing things that I remember Andy and Joe did.
Of course Grammy had to take them, Poppy did not have the patience.
